Case Study | Fresh Thyme Farmers Market New Store Setup
Our construction team had the privilege of assisting numerous general contractors with the store construction of the new chain of Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. Located throughout the midwest, this natural/organic food grocery concept has opened over 66 locations since 2014. DisplayMax helped bring over 40 of these to the grand opening. These projects consisted of a combination of renovated spaces and ground-up construction with a typical footprint of 20k to 30k sq. ft. per store.
Our construction teams are very experienced working with GC’s on major retail construction projects. Since our services cover most of the FF&E responsibility (shelving, millwork and decor) in the project scope we are know the importance of our role as one of the last sub contractors in the store. We understand the importance of working with the project superintendent, staying on schedule and executing precisely so the store can meet it’s grand opening date. This requires teams that are flexible, knowledgeable and have the right skill set to match the scope.

- Installation of Case Protection
- Installation of Interior Floor Mounted Bollards
We were also responsible for shipment receiving, unloading, inspection, unpacking, trash removal and staging of materials that were part of our scope.
Each Fresh Thyme project included the assembly and placement of many custom built bins and displays including bulk dispensers, produce displays and featured end caps. Our team had no trouble with these units and unpacked and installed them in timely manner.
The completion of the Fresh Thyme stores were very gratifying because the store design was of an excellent visual design and built for the customer. It was exciting to be part of a solid store concept bloom from the birth of the chain. Our staff really enjoyed being part of the Fresh Thyme family during the process.
